27 weeks

I am 27 weeks today. One more week and I will have made it to my 3rd trimester. I am entering the last part of my journey before they are born. I am so looking forward to meeting them. 24 weeks

I went to the doctors today and I am measuring 38cm. the twins are going to be big. I am being checked for labor again next week and then again in 2 weeks. My cervix is completly closed and is not thinned in the least. The doctor is not going to let me go past 37 weeks because of the size of the twins. before he was saying 38. I am very uncomfortable. But I am so looking forward to seeeing those babies.

I had my boys Saturday!!

Saturday afternoon (the day I turned 37 weeks) I was at my moms house. I needed some rest so I went to lay down on her bed. When I did, my heart went crazy and I couldn't get it to slow down. I went and sat in her recliner and tried to calm myself down. Took about a half hour, but I finally did. Anyway, still felt "off", so she ended up taking my blood pressure and it was super high. Quad Screen

I had a call from the doctor's office this morning. Apparently I had a positive on the spina bifida part of the screening. Luckily I did not panic and the specialist had an appointment today. My husband and I went at 1pm. The doctor looked at every inch of both babies and couldn't find anything wrong. He recommended that I get an ultrasound each month just to make sure everything is still going fine. Basically I wanted to post this in the event someone else had the same issue.

Insensitive People

Okay, so I am at work yesterday and one of my co-workers came me and asked me how far along I was. This particular person has a set of 12 year old twins. After I told her I was 17 weeks, she tells me to be prepared to go on bedrest at 24 weeks. You know, this is not exactly what you want to hear. Apparently her doctor was more than cautious and put her on bedrest even though she had no complications. My boys!! :)

I had an ultrasound yesterday morning and they are doing awesome!! - Growing very well and still have plenty of fluid at 36w4d! Baby A weighs 6lbs 11ozs and is still breech and B weighs 6lbs 8ozs and is still head down! Anyway, I had my doctors appointment this morning and my cervix is still completely closed, so she scheduled my c-section for the 29th when I'll be 39w1d. Off to the hospital with worrisome symptoms!

Saturday my office was stifling at 77 degrees. I started to see stars when I would get up or sit to fast. Sunday before I went to bed I again had the ability to see stars. Yesterday I went to work and was hit by a heat wave of 79.9 degrees. Felt like someone hit me in the face with the headache I had. I work on a computer and the pages flash quickly and I was seeing constant stars feeling nausous dizzy and had 3 Braxton Hicks contactions within the 1st four hours of work.
